AEI VIETNAM ENGLISH BLOG CONTEST RULES
1. Targeted participants: Vietnamese students aged 16-22 (Born from 1986 to 1992) currently living in Vietnam.
2. Registration: Participants to compose or vote for blogs should register for membership on My eSpace website (only one account for each competitor). Personal details on registration should be precise. Prizes shall not be given to contestants providing false information.
3. Language: Blogs are to be composed in English only, with language clarity and accuracy set among the marking criteria.
4. Themes: Contestants submit entries in correspondence with monthly topics, at maximum one entry per week.
5. Scoring: Blogs will be judged in two categories: by the Judging Panel for Best Blog and Readers for Top-Five voted blogs. Blogs of the Week will enter further Blogs of the Month and Final competitions. In addition, prizes will be given to Top-five blogs with highest votes as of 00:00 on 01/6/2008 (Hanoi time).
6. Scoring criteria:
• Language: clear and accurate (grammatically correct) use of the English language.
• Content: Entrants should follow weekly topics to express their independence and creativity. No plagiarism is allowed.
• Length: The writing should be between 400 - 500 words.
• Illustrations: Pictures/images should be of good quality and relevant to the entry, at maximum 50kB and 03 items/entry.
7. Contest Limitations:
• Under no circumstances should participants use provocative language that could lead to discussion on politics, religions or other sensitive issues that could be viewed by either reader or entrant as contradictory.
• Contestants who violate the above rule will immediately be waived of his/her participation right without further notice.
• In the case where various contestants submit entries with similar content or ideas, the entry posted at the earliest time will be considered original.
• AEI Vietnam reserves the right to modify the contents and/or rules of the contest to better address issues as they arise.
